I understand that under the terms of my participation in the Nina Mason Pulliam Legacy Scholars Program:
1. I am expected to meet the minimum grade point average of 2.5 the first academic year and 2.75 each semester thereafter.
2. If I do not meet the GPA requirement I will be placed on probationary status with the program until such time I either make satisfactory progress or the retention committee determines I have forfeited the scholarship. If I fail to meet the standards of the probationary period the scholarship may be withdrawn.
3. I must enroll for the number of credit hours agreed upon with the Program Coordinator each semester.
4. I must contact the Program Coordinator and my financial aid advisor before dropping and/or adding or withdrawing (restricted withdrawal included) any courses.
5. If I do not maintain the required credit hours, I will be responsible to repay some or all of my tuition, fees and book charges.
6. I understand that I have up to 6 years with the program to complete my academic plan of study and graduate from Arizona State University.
7. I must participate in Nina Scholars classes, cohort meetings, and scheduled activities.
8. I must meet with the Program Coordinator at least once a month unless otherwise required under conditions of program probation and I must check emails weekly and respond to emails from the program staff, NMPCT, advisory council members, and the Multi-program longitudinal evaluation team.
9. I understand that any miscellaneous fees (parking fines, late fees, drop/add fees, library fees, etc.) will be my responsibility.
10. If I attend summer session courses I understand I am required to sign a separate contract listing the conditions of the Nina Scholars Program payment of these courses.
NOTE: As per current financial aid policy (subject to change), I can only withdraw from or fail a specific course twice. If I drop or withdraw a specific course more than two times, the Nina Scholars program will not pay for my class.
I understand that failure to meet the terms stated above may result in my scholarship being revoked and that these standards will remain in effect while I am part of the Nina Scholars program at ASU.
