Foster Care Resources
Casey Family Programs provides and improves and ultimately prevents the need for foster care.
Arizona Department of Economic Services Education Training Vouchers (DES-ETV)
Education and Training Vouchers (ETV/s) are provided to assist
foster youth and former foster youth with expenses related to education or
training programs. Young adults must have been in foster care at the age of 16
or 17 and must enroll in a post-secondary program recognized by the Arizona
Department of Education. Young adults may receive financial assistance until
they reach the age of 21. However, if a young adult is in a recognized program
at the time of the 21st birthday, they may continue receiving
assistance for that program until they reach the age of 23. Financial assistance
(ETV) is based on need.
Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation (AFFCF)
The Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation (AFFCF) was founded
in 1983. 20 years later, we continue to serve that mission: To promote
the self-esteem and enrich the lives of AZ's foster children by funding
activities, education and other needs that provide them with quality
experiences while they live through the most difficult circumstances.

Orphan Foundation

American Council of the Blind; Helpful Resources
ACB strives to improve the well-being of all blind and visually impaired people by serving as a representative national organization of blind people; elevating the social, economic and cultural levels of blind people; improving educational and rehabilitation facilities and opportunities; cooperating with the public and private institutions and organizations concerned with blind services; encouraging and assisting all blind persons to develop their abilities and conducting a public education program to promote greater understanding of blindness and the capabilities of blind people.

A collaborative effort among twenty-two federal agencies, DisabilityInfo.gov connects people with disabilities to the information and resources they need to actively participate in the workforce and in their communities.
Arizona Industries for the Blind
Arizona Industries for the Blind was established in 1952 to provide employment and training opportunities for Arizonans who are legally blind. Most individuals of working age who are legally blind can compete successfully for good jobs if they're given the opportunity to develop skills and increase their self-confidence. Arizona Industries for the Blind operates primarily under the Javits-Wagner-O’Day (JWOD) Program. Created in 1938, this unique federal procurement program employs nearly 40,000 Americans who are blind or have other severe disabilities, enabling them to lead more productive and independent lives.
